Hand plastered wood art blocks are styled to look old. They celebrate beautiful things that could have been lost but instead were found.
Cedar Mountain Story
Don and Suzanne Zacharias are a husband-and-wife team living and working on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. For over 40 years they have been doing what they love best – designing and making beautiful, handmade things for people’s homes.
In many ways, Cedar Mountain is all about home. They make their products in their backyard studio with the help of people who feel like family. Their 7-year-old and 4-year-old grandsons live next door and often join them for coffee break (minus the coffee, of course). They source their inspiration from their shared love of a home that is both beautiful and authentic, one that is filled with well-worn treasures and the warmth of family and friends. And they try to make things that capture that feeling and make people feel good!
Since they have always wanted Cedar Mountain to feel like home, they have kept their operation small and sustainable. They sell to select stores across North America and who share the love of home and family and the desire to sell and promote Canadian made!
